SERENITY Runtime Framework prototype demonstrated

Monday 10 March 2008 - Internal News
SERENITY makes a step further with the first demonstration of the SERENITY Runtime Framework (SRF) during the 2nd project review held in Brussels.
The first running prototype of the SERENITY Runtime Framework (SRF) will be demonstrated in Brussels for the second project review, on March 13-14. The prototype uses the first implemented Executable Components (EC). A SERENITY-aware application will send a request to the SRF and this will select the most appropriate solution to fulfil the request among the available ECs, taking into account the actual context of the running system. Among the ECs produced for this demonstration, different patterns have been included, some of them providing S&D services and others gathering information about the system (called Observer S&D Patterns). A pattern production workshop will be held in Malaga in April. The workshop will kickstart the production of S&D solutions represented using the SERENITY S&D Artefacts (Classes, Patterns and Implementations) and realized by Executable Components.
